*** The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact Thread ***

Wow sorry! It looks big in that photo! So build quality felt good?

Did the shop have it in stock to sell? Just got my dispatch email from GiffGaff should be in my hands tomorrow :D!

Stock is next week for CPW I was told, they don't know if that is sim free stock, or contracts though. Z5 then too. No idea about Premium, no stand for it in store either.

Guy straight up told me, if you want the z5c sim free best get it online as it be cheaper than instore.

Ooh whats it like? What did you have previously?

I had a HTC One M8 previously

Feels really nice in the hand, perfect size imo, nice and responsive too

Just transferring everything over at the moment

It came already 50% charged and battery monitor said 1 day 5 hours left

I know the guardian found the battery life to be 3 days from full charge with heavy useage :D

Does the z5c have a smaller screen than the m8? If so how do you find the transition so far.

On a separate note is using the transfer app fine or should one consider a clean install?

I've used the xperia transfer app on the phone and downloaded the same software on my htc

Worked fine :)

The Z5c is 4.6 inch compared to 5inch on the m8 but tbh in the hand haven't noticed the difference apart from the phone itself is noticeably smaller.

Just got my Compact! Have it on charge until it is fully charged and then I will run the set up process and see how much a hit the battery takes.

I really like the look of this and have liked the Xperia handsets in the past so I'm very tempted!

Coming from a HTC One M8 too the main concerns for me are whether the screen size is going to be noticeable and also whether the drop from 1080p to 720p will be an issue - how does the display stack up against your old M8 in your opinion?

Also, I assume the internal memory is 32GB? (appreciate only about 25GB is usable but I've already hit the limit on my M8, which I believe is 16GB internal!)
