Thought I'd start a heads-up thread for good special offers worth getting as I just spotted something worth buying.

Zonte's Footstep red Shiraz/Viognier down to £5.99 from £7.99 in Sainsburys.

This is an amazing bottle of red wine. If you like red or are just getting into reds I strongly recommend trying this as it's a fantastically rich bottle of wine for the price. It's a mix of spicy black Shiraz with about 7% fruity white Viognier which gives it a sweet aftertaste. It won a Decanter Magazine award which is very very difficult to achieve and is rated in the top 40 wines in the world under £10 so the finished product is amazing as a result. At £7.99 it's already a pretty good buy but for £5.99 it's worth stocking up on a few bottles because it's a really nice wine to drink with food or by itself. I haven't seen it in Sainsburys before so it must be on special introductory offer.

Definitely worth trying this weekend.

We also got the tesco thingy

I think everyone who uses tescos online got it.

Also it can be shared as it is 1 per order per household, not like the Sainsburys one which saw me get close to £80 of drink for free.

Set of Men's hair clippers (with scissors, comb, guards) - Style Devil/Hinari - available now at Netto's for princely sum of £3. We got them to have a go at cutting our sons hair and thought that if they were rubbish we have only lost £3. They are so good and solidly built that we are buying another one for one our current set runs out.

Another corker of a red wine. A fantastic 2001 Rioja which is reduced down from £8.99 to £4.50 which makes it a BARGAIN

Sainsburys has a habit of running a fake £7.99 range of wines that always end up "half price" when they blantantly aren't £7.99 bottles. This is a genuine end of line £8.99 2001 Rioja with real oak, no carbonic masceration (fake oaking) and it's selling out fast at that 1/2 price. I managed to pick up 5 bottles for the stockpile and I really recommend getting a bottle to see what a real Rioja should tast like. It's quite heavy and dark in colour but that's its age showing, also quite strong in alcohol with a lot of dry tanin but it's a wine you can easily drink by itself. First sip is a sweet full body backed up with quality oak finished off with that distinct Rioja tanin taste across you tongue.

Era Costana Rioja Reserva, 2001

Well worth it ;)
