The State of Our Society

This story is horrendous.Just looking at the dads photo you can instantly tell that this fella is drug user , has no work ethic embroiled in him and has absolutely nothing to bring or contribute to society. 'The spend my beneifits on drugs generation'. You can tell the type of people they are by the mother - locked up for 18 years. That poor, poor baby.

So we are now at a point in society where the Chav generation are having kids. All the liberal soft goody-two-shoe brigade should be proud of themselves. Because of their soft head in the clouds attitudes of having no discipline in schools and a soft court system (this fella WILL have been in trouble in the past) then this is YOUR result.

National Service is a great idea. Drill some common sense , social skills and pride into these good for nothing benefit Chavs.

Wow.

You should get a job in airport security in that case.

How do you know this exactly?.

So, you blame the left who are trying to reduce poverty on the problems caused in part by poverty - congratulations.

Good job schools are not allowed to hit children, as all evidence suggests that physical punishment doesn't work - but hey, don't let that get in the way of this little rant.

National Service is a great idea.
So you want to teach the "chav scum" how to kill people & give them guns? & enforce mandatory brainwashing into military servitude?.

Drill some common sense , social skills and pride into these good for nothing benefit Chavs.
Common sense - the irony, also please define pride.

Do you have any evidence at all to support these claims?.

Or let me guess, you plucked this wisdom from where the sun don't shine?.

So what did National Service do for you then? What was your experience? How has it made you the person you are today? Was it during National Service you gained your perception skills or was that somewhere else?

Speaking as a liberal I am getting quite annoyed at people using the word liberal incorrectly. It seems like the awful US habit of using it as a pejorative has crossed the Atlantic and is now being used by authoritarian numpties against anyone who doesn't feel that their view of the world is the right one.

Indeed, I doubt most people who criticise liberalism even know what it is (or even the meaning of the word).

It's akin to how the Americans view socialism - they think it's communism (stupid I know), when an example of a functioning modern socialist society is Norway.

It's almost like people are thinking

"You know what, I don't want to see the evidence - I rather go with blind prejudice & gut instincts to solve social issues "

Maybe there should be a minimum age to become a parent.....if you get pregnant(before the age required) then the reponsible parties should foot the bill for the abortion and get an additional fine.

I would rather not live in a country which forces abortion onto people.

Yeah right. Beads and short hair, oh wait his coat has a hood. Typical villian then.

Meh. I purposefully don't want to go and see a car that i like the look of because i can see in the reflection of the car in one of the photos, that the person taking the picture is wearing a hoody with his hood up :p

Guy lost his baby in a tragic accident, he was an irresponsible parent who paid the ultimate cost, loss of his child. This is not the downfall of society, its always been broken, it might seem like it couldn't get any worse, but it can, all you need to do is nothing.

WOW

I truly despair sometimes, I truly do.

George Orwell was talking about YOU in 1984!

not a single moronic idea in this thread is compatible with our human rights act or any international human rights treaties, such as the UN and EU human rights conventions, of which the uk is signatory.

No - if someone starts work at 16 and decides they are ready for a family why should they be denied an allowance THEY have paid for

But then surely, over the next several years when those in compulsory education until a later age because of Law... that will essentially defunct your argument? At 16... can someone say that they have "grown up"?

Why didn't you spend the time you wasted writing this pointless post researching the causes of the behaviour you so despise?

Again its not a pointless post... why did you spend your time reading it? I have read a lot of research, i work in a sector directly connected to this issue. Its pretty shocking.

To someone who said teenage pregnancy is falling... yes quite correct but as i'm sure others will concur... teenage pregnancy rates are merely the first child many of these mums then at 19 and onwards continue on to have more and more children. I think i've posted on here somewhere of a lad who at 16 had already fathered 5 children to 5 different women and i believe had number 6 on the way?

Also interestingly, some people have said about the Dad and how awful it must be for him... what if i said that i know people who know this person and what they say about him regarding this was that he does not feel any remorse...?

Some people on here talk about poverty and lack of equality of earnings/opportunity being the root cause of incidents like this. Well again to use my colleagues line: stop the money and you'll stop the career mums. Not meaning to villify mums btw.

I actually am in favour (and i know many in the industry) of:
- Raising the Maternity Allowance to make it an adult only benefit
- Removing the opportunity to gain accommodation
- Introducing compulsory parenting classes to the most at risk youngsters (lets face it they won't go off their own backs)

albert by the way has guessed correctly on everything about this guy just from his picture... i can tell you :)
