Anybody else grow up hearing myths and stories about this guys car collection ?

Well apparently the money has all gone and its being left to rot ...

If you read the article you will find that the Sultans collection is intact and not ruined - and this refers to that of the Prince.

I've always heard that Jefri was much more of a car man than the Sultan.

the lists posted on the internet of the hundreds upon thousands of cars belonging to him were always credited as belonging to the Sultan himself. The article concedes thats what everybody else thought at the start.

But anway, thats not the point of the thread. It saddens me to think of cars like the Mclaren F1 just sat rotting in the desert heat wasting away, un serviced, un started, unloved with everybody too scared to do anything with them.

Then think no longer, as Brunei is not exactly a desert country! It's a tropical rainforest.

Which coincidentally is also mentioned in the article right at the end. However I'll agree it does seem a little bit sad to see/hear of so many great/unique cars simply left to rot.
