Not posted on here in a long time was really hyped for this launch but

But will you be able to find any cards selling at that price?

Id imagine AMD will continue to sell them directly (seeing that they AMD confirmed that they will still be manufacturing them for a while)

Probably the AIBs bailed on the reference design and opted just to make their own :)

Don't trust any ray tracing numbers yet IMO, too many games are bugged with it on for RDNA 2! SotTR seems fine on a quick inspection but stuff like Control is just a mess.

All the results are the same, even Portal Royal which is a neutral DXR benchmark. All data points are lower than the 3080 in RT, thats the current trend. All the data confirms each other which means hi confidence that performance is lower.

Conclusion would be, "The 6800xt is slower by a big margin (10 or more fps Portal Royal) than the 3080 in RT benchmarks but its DXR performance is still above the RTX 2080 ti which is decent."

Yeah I'd personally rather have a 3080 as DLSS has proven itself ... but I've got no idea what the actual price comparison between the 2 should be ... I guess it'll be sometime next year before there's actual stock floating about to compare them.

No, the conclusion is: don't be stupid enough to make conclusions based on bad data. The reason I say this is not because I believe AMD performance will find itself to be sky high (or overtake NV), but because you have to employ clear thinking as a rule. And if you're NV-biased then you shouldn't do it anyway because it might turn out that AMD's performance will be even lower without the bugged version! There's plenty of fight left in the GPU war, no need for early retirement.

As for the neutrality of 3dmark - LOL! Never has it been, never will it be.

Just been looking through my Spam folder for an order update I've not got and found this, look at the time stamp :(

My unique link is still active, but out of stock. What a price though!

As you can see from the first, I've unblocked them. Hopefully something will happen again next week.

Dont forget the £10 quid delivery.

Making the real retail price of the range in the UK

6800 = £535
6800XT = £598

Great prices, and i want one.

Sadly, we will never see these cards, at these prices, again.

AMD has truly jebaited us all with the biggest flop release in history. This time not on performance, but quantity and bog roll launch.

Wouldnt of happened if Raja was here
