Hi there

The pessimistic side of me says Ryzen prices, particular Ryzen 2 could and may explode in coming weeks due to there been literally no Intel supply and thus demand AMD did not forecast shifting over to them resulting in AMD also having a shortage.

If this happens and I feel there is a chance it might happen, the Ryzen prices will go up, probably not quite like Intel prices have exploded, but still an increase.

As such with great prices like these and such epic bundles, buying a Ryzen setup right now would not be a bad decision at all:

Like I say AMD prices may hold, but I forsee stock drying up or supply getting tighter which means supply and demand, thus prices go up.

Also DDR4 prices have come down considerably in last six months, I feel they still have more room to drop further but again I would not be surprised to see the prices go up, due to peak season and all that........

To put it simply right now the situation is crazy, demand is far outweighing supply on so many component categories, processors, graphics cards, it is not down to general consumption but more down to huge demand coming from data centres, AI and other corporate sectors swallowing up stock, plus of course Intel have a major and serious issue on their hands which only makes situation worse.

AMD and OCUK are rocking it price wise, I can see sales and market share increasing massively due to Intel 14nm shortage, who wants an 8400 for near £300 when you can can have the 2600 for £160. Hope AMD can meet the demand because Intel sure as hell can't.

In fact 1600X at £140 is even better value, higher clock out the box and all that, plus £20 cheaper. :)

Thats some nice deals! :)

I know that mobo manufacturers have been having a hard time meeting demand for AMD mobos in china. Its not a stretch for the supply issue to hit AMD themselves next.

He only seems to have benchmarked showing average fps, not minimum fps where Intel does still have a lead, even at 1440p.
The big irony of course being that when Ryzen came out and was competing against i7 7700k, minimum FPS was seldom mentioned.
Still nice to see that after nearly a decade of quad core, mainstream i has finally moved on.

Going by this video the ryzen 2700k is as fast or close as the intel 8700k so might go for the 8086k am sure its faster

for gaming intels are a lot faster. they can be close but in general even top ryzens are about the same as a basic i5 in games as for the higher end i7s not a chance. especially on high hz monitors. the prices are good though. give gibbo that.

This is rather interesting.
Perhaps i read too much into things, but when NDA is around, and one cannot possibly state anything about INTEL and their product release, what you say regarding their competitor, is very very telling.
My wish might come true.

Have to say Gibbo is a real salesman ;) I think with good reason. I'm watching prices closely and they are definitely on the rise. I just need a good deal on X399 motherboard, strange shortage of them at the moment. I wonder if Gibbo knows something? ;)
