Yup, Nunes is up to his neck in this. Swalwell gets the Daily Beast article onto the record:

Seems relevant when considering some of the Republican/Trump talking points:

Exactly, people seem to be forgetting this. And what could "I hope he does the right thing" possibly mean...

Are the Republicans really back onto the Steele dossier? I guess they're out of defenses then

Rep Swalwell just burned Devin Nunes house down and smiled while he did it...absolutely spot on with that observation.
Nunes has to recuse himself or be put in the dock, no questions asked. He is as dirty as Trump and his merry band of criminals.

If this is legit, and not doctored, the GOP is so ******* stupid, they can't even get this right... Unless they mean to say that Schiff has been following the rules today, which might he accurate, but sure doesn't feel like something they would intend to say

That would be genuinely hilarious if it wasn't quite so sad. I sort-of hope it isn't legit to be honest...

Will Giuliani get called? Is there anything to stop that? Or Trump himself?

Meanwhile, in the totally-not-at-all-corrupt Trump administration...

Ah do we not? Well now that we know we don't feature in their news I guess we should pack our bags and lock this thread up.

Are you sure though? Do we really not ever hardly ever feature in their news?

And to be sure, that's how you decide whether a thread is worthy of existing, is if we feature in their news? It's not the other way around? You know if their events feature in our news a lot we could talk about it perhaps? It's definitely us featuring in their news that allows us to then discuss their politics....

I wonder how you'd ever be able to start talking about another countries news. If we don't feature in theirs, then do you think they are over there wanting to discuss UK events, but some one has told them that America doesn't feature in our news so they can't discuss us. Almost like a catch 22. Huh

Its completely legit. You have to wonder when there are probably millions of $ worth of education sat on the GOP side of the aisle that they still couldn't get a sign board right.

    How embarrassing.

Perfectly illustrates the gulf in intelligence between the two sides.

I mean it was obvious, just listening to the difference between how both sides spoke, but that sign drives it home !

A bit of a weird system where the WH and Trump can meet and woo the very people that will be acting as a jury. Poor old Susan Collins has desperately been trying to side with the Democrats where possible to make her look more reasonable than her zealot GOP colleagues. She's gone as far as not condemning the House impeachment inquiry - well done Susan.

The meetings, wooing and supposed promise of additional campaign money to GOP Senators will continue. They are also laying out a format for the trial aiming for a 2 week one according to some reports.

I don't think this has posted so thought it deserved it.

Yesterday, the president of the United States called elected American representatives "human scum"

That alone should be an impeachable offense. How utterly despicable.

All Trump has done during his presidency is moan, belittle and play victim. He spent 8 years trying to delegitimize Obama's presidency based on a racist CT and he can't let the slightest criticism go. Hardly characteristics of a president....
