    So the Taliban have corroborated that the bounties are in fact quite real.

    It's not even questionable anymore and with him saying it's a hoax... the only people still denying it are the Russians and Trump. All those talking points about the Russian's involvement with the president and his campaign are now rather embarrassing i'd say.

    I keep reading that Trump wasn't briefed verbally, does that mean he could/was briefed in a report?

    Could well be, my understanding of POTUS intelligence briefings is that they're given daily reports to read through and any important, pressing, or key points are verbally briefed to draw attention to what's in the report. If reports on how Trump deals with his daily intelligence briefings are anything to go by he pretty much dismisses them because as the article Sankari posted above says he doesn't think they're credible.

    It does make you wonder why, if he thinks his intelligence services' are not credible, hasn't he done something about that, he's the POTUS and he's had over 3 years to at least start the process of reforming something that's apparently so bad.

    I read somewhere that his daily briefings have to be fitted on to one side of A4, otherwise it exceeds his attention span.

    and regardless of how the information was given to him back all those months ago, he certainly has it now. What's he doing about it?

    So far the only comment i've heard from him is him calling it a hoax

    The Ex-Deputy Director of the FBI said that if you didn't present your information/report visually, be it with pictures or animations, you "probably wouldn't get much engagement from the President".
