    Alt facts, I'm afraid. There *is*proof of the Trump administration meeting with Russians. And they have lied about it under oath.

    People need to be careful not to get manipulated by the false equivalence and post-truths Breitbart et al are trying to foist on their readers.

    At this rate, congress is going to have a higher approval rate than the president. :D

    Russia must have something on him, just think.

    Here is a guy that attacks everybody, his own country's intelligence services, the British, he attacks anyone and everyone, but when it comes to Russia, he defends Putin all the way.

    Why?

    Even when pushed, he even attacks the US military and calls them "killers" rather than criticism Russia.

    Why?

    Putin must have something really big on him.

    Have the sanctions been lifted or is it too early? And what about the diplomats Obama expelled?

    Oh no, how unfortunate it is to meet simple "Russians", language is important here.

    What we know (non-hysterical version):

    - FBI Director Comey refuses to deny he briefed President Obama on calls made by Michael Flynn to Russia;
    - FBI investigating how FISA warrant ended up in hands of foreign-owned media who reported it, criminal charges may follow;
    - Democrat Congresswoman Jackie Spieier claims Russia committed an "Act of War" against the USA;
    - The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process;
    - Comey: "There is no evidence to support Trump's 'specific wording' in his wiretap tweet.";
    - The Supreme Court refuses to throw out corruption charges against Democrat Senator Bob Menendez.

    Just a typical morning in Washington these days :D

    Unlikely. In two years congress faces a vote, quite often its used as a protest vote like by-elections here. So in two years theres a very good chance congress switches to Democratic Party majority, unless I read different I think thats the case

    That's not entirely accurate. They said that the Russians didn't tamper with any of the voting machines. The NSA director also said that the NSA specializes in foreign intelligence, not domestic so they wouldn't be the best to ask about that.

    Congress is currently at 28% approval and increasing and Trump is at around 40% and falling. We've still got 20 months until the midterms

    "Non-hysterical" is alt-speak for "Breitbart version" of reality, right?

    It's also looking like a master-stroke by Putin in general. Comey said Russia succeeded in stirring up political divisions in the U.S, I'd say and then some, their entire political outfit resemble a bunch of clowns right now with the DNC holding steadfast on their failed election strategies.

    If the Russians had anything to do with anything, it'd just be stirring an already pretty well-stirred pot. The Americans aren't saints, with their very very anti-socialist/communist crap from the middle of the last century.

    It's not the Russians fault that the conservatives put religion back on the agenda, in 1956 their motto evolved from the latin for "out of many, one" to "In god we trust"...

    It sounds like this is a response to a genuine threat to the US. The ban only lasts four days and covers some African countries too.

    The Menendez story is an old one that goes right back to April 2015, when he was first indicted. The charges are very serious, and the evidence against him is substantial. His trial is set for September this year. I expect him to be found guilty.

    However, this is all completely irrelevant to the Trump wiretap allegations and the FBI's investigation into his campaign's shadowy connections with Russia.

    I am surprised the usual conspiracy crowd all of the sudden disappeared.

    Look at all the clues, Flynn, Manafort, Trump admit he met Putin and having a great relationship, Trump kissing his ass, his son meeting Russians, directly asking the Russians to hack the DNC and who knows what else.

    There is no fire without smoke, all signs points 1 way.
