if you check the google cache of their website (they've made it private now to stem the hate mail i expect)

they've been magazine featured and eveything. Just goes to show you can never really know an individual until they get faced with a $250,000 bill for a new car that they wrote off and **** themselves.
 
I could almost understand it if the tuner had claimed that the car had a fault that the owner didn't tell him about which might shift liability onto the owner, but just wow at not having insurance, as mentioned should just sue him for the damages. Surely easy enough in the US?
 
Just thank god it wasn't a original GT40 (That was my original thought when I clicked the link and saw the paintjob). That also pretty much sums up why the american car insurance system is fail. If that had happened in this country the blame would have been all on the tuner.

I am also suprised the police are not looking into the crash either as it sounds like he was doing some speed to chop off the tops of trees.

the new Ford GT is still pretty rare, only ONE currently on sale in the UK as they only imported 75 !!
