***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

After a couple of days with the Goblin Mini V3 I can safely say that after two false starts, Youde have knocked it out of the park with this one. It doesn't leak, is super easy to build on, easy to fill, and looks good. The flavour is excellent too.
I'm using the single coil deck with a 26/32 SS316L clapton 6 wraps over 2.5mm for 0.5 Ohms. Running nicely at 40W.

One of my DNA200s has died. When it goes to sleep after 30 minutes idle it won't wake up again unless connected to power via the USB. It then works fine until it goes to sleep again.
A bit of research tells me that the board will have to back to Evolv but it's well out of warranty now as it was one of the first DNA200 devices on the market. Oh well, will just buy a new board and stick it in.

For starters, Nautilus coils aren't for temperature control. They can be used in power mode only and you want to be running at around 13W.
The coils you've run 50W through will now be junk. Bin them and stick a new one in.

To run temperature mode you need coils that are made of stainless steel, titanium, or ni200. Nautilus coils are kanthal. I'm not aware of any temperature coils for the Nautilus.

Hi my name is phrases....

Its been 9 days since i last smoked.

tbf I'm struggling at the moment as the mrs bought me 0.3mg nic juice and i think thats not giving me that throat hit i craved with smoking also I'm down to the last bottle which is latte flavour and its not that great.

I'm thinking of going back to 0.6mg nic or actually trying something higher as i really like that throat hit and it stops me chain vaping

Would the 0.5 ohm coil work with anything higher than 0.6mg nic or would i need to go for a 0.2 ohm coil?

I'm using the cool fire IV plus which is rated upto 70w although I've never gone higher than 40w as it chokes me to death.

If you're direct lung vaping then 6mg will be fine. I normally vape 3mg but always keep some 6mg around for emergencies if I'm really stressed.
If you are mouth to lung vaping then you really want to be up to a 12mg or higher as a recent quitter.

Sounds like the juice rather than anything you're doing wrong. The Nauti X is lovely and smooth at 18W with that coil. I use 12mg in my Nauti X as it's my stealth vape.
Try a different liquid from a different brand. Something that's 70/30 VG/PG. It will be much smoother.

Hi mate, any brand or flavour you recommend?

I'm coming from "Amber Leaf Blonde Tobacco" which isn't the strongest anyway. But looking for a tobacco flavour to ease the transition!

Find a vape shop near you and try a few. I don't have any recommendations for tobacco flavours because I don't vape them myself. Try Chef's Vapours or T-Juice. Both do very nice flavours and I've no reason to believe that their tobacco ones will be bad.

Can anyone recommend something like the Council of Vapor Mini Volt V2 but one that actually works? Looking for something small.

I also have eVic VTwo but find that too big.

Cheers

Try the Evic Basic. It's tiny, does 50W, does TC with all wires, has a 1500mAh cell internally, and looks the business. I have one myself and it's my stealth vape. Love it.

I'm PG intolerant and I freeze my VG nic. It's doesn't go solid just really, really thick.
Just leave it out for an hour or two before you try to work with it.

I just stocked the freezer with a couple of litres of 72mg. Should keep me going for a few years.

Just picked up some of the newer 1.8 Ohm coils for the Nauti X. So much better than the 1.5s and 1.6s. There's now very good flavour whereas before I always felt it was a little muted.

never looked at the naut x, the airflow system put me off... but I've got a load of Triton mini coils for the plato, they will work in naut tank systems like the silo.. works at 1.2 and mini claptons at 1.8... if only the triton mini tank wasn't so ugly. Well pleased with the plato.. really missed having an all in one system.

Hmm, I've been eyeing up the Plato for a while. Might bag one if you think it's good.

Very much cheaper. Even if you buy concentrates of your favourite flavours.
For example; to re-coil one of my atties I need 20cm of 26/32 316SS clapton wire at £10 for 10M (so about 20p), some Muji cotton (£2 for more than you will ever need in years and years), and a Coilmaster tool (no strictly needed but makes things easy).
Then, to make 150ml of my favourite T-Juice Red Astaire it's 30ml of concentrate (£10) and around 7ml of 72mg nic solution (£11 for 100ml so about 70p) and some VG and PG base (pennies).

That is a lot cheaper than buying off-the-shelf liquids.

Hi Guys,

Im looking to make my own e-juice as i have found out that it will be a lot cheaper than getting ready made.

Now i know i will need PG, VG and Nicotine concentrates but how would i go about trying to replicate flavours that i currently vape and enjoy?

Two of my favs are from Herbal Tides; Cherry Tunes and Berry Tunes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well for starters, Cherry Tunes is very similar to T-Juice Red Astaire for which you can buy the concentrate. Just mix at 20%, shake and vape.
Have a look at http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ tons of clones of popular liquids for you to try.
