Im getting annoyed with Genesis style now lol, had my AC9 working fine, then in a misguided choice i decided to faff with it, long story short, 6 hours and it still isnt working,
Popping coils, constant hotspots, loose coils, tight coils you name it ive had it again, like a black art, doesnt help that ive moved from the RSST to an AC9 which doesnt have an insulated wick hole.

As the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I got over the old Genesis set ups by using the MAGA and AGA S first. Trust me, I've had days when I could've thrown the AGA S through the window but persevered!

I usually came back to it the day after and all was well again after watching PBsuardo and Todd on Youtube.

Give it a good and thorough cleaning and wrap the coil again. A good video I found was the PBsuardo video on the RSST and the AGA T. He goes through the various setting up a coil tutorials and the positives and negatives of them all. If you haven't watched them, give them a try, they really helped me.

quick question regarding chargers
if it comes with the 2 pin plug, can i just buy a 2pin to 3 pin adapter?
and can i use it in a 2 pin shaver plug socket?

2 pin to 3 pin, yes

2pin shaver plug, no it will only be 110v

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the 110volts been a while since I've used one.

Thx Majnu, i have been looking at the DIY ones already, seem to see a lot of them about, so may go for them.

I've got some X8 carto tanks on the way to me to partner the Vamo. Going to get some Boge cartos for it.

The X8 tank looks better as it prevents slipping, if it doesn't cost more then go for that :)

This X 10000

:D

-Make sure the wick is not touching the bottom (cauases shorts)
-Make sure the wick fits in snugly in the hole
-Do not over tighten the wire to the wick whilst coiling
-Secure the wire around the positive pole going anti-clockwise (means the wick will stay closer to the positive terminal, but NOT allow wick to touch +ve pole as it will short)
-Turn the Voltage down on your PV 3.1 and fire. Move the wires gently until they all glow evenly
- Then add the juice and turn up the Voltage......

- Edit in fact instead of me explaining watch it from the Master himself who I learnt from lol
You defo have to tilt genesis otherwise you'll get wicking problems and hotspots

Pretty much. Just make sure it has 220-240v or similar marked on it. If it only says 110v then it's step down transformer time.

The only drawback with that is for some reason, the first batches of X8s only came with one screw. Quite a few retailers state on the product page that theirs only comes with one. I think that's why Todd couldn't find the screw for the empty hole at the bottom of the tank; he didn't drop it on the way home! :) I've bought a pack of three and I'll just use a screw from another one to prevent tank slide if mine only come with one.

Also got some vivi novas (clones I think) on the way just to try out. They're supposed to be quite good once rewicked so I'm also on the lookout for wick and coil. Decided to go for Kanthal A1 0.2mm wire but not sure what wick to go for. Choice seem to be 2 or 3mm in silica or Ekowool and home made cotton wicks made from Asda cotton wool pads.

got a link to site u bought them off?

Sure thing matey. Same place I bought the Vamo from:

http://zainy.net/home/204-3pcspack-x8-atomizer-x8-clearomizer-.html

It does state there that there's only one screw but the person that recommended them said that his first two orders came with both but his latest order came with one. Goodness knows why!

The Boge cartomizers for them are these:

Yup, its just me, bugging me to death but i guess its part of the charm of the genesis lol

grants vanilla custard tastes vile on a vamo in a protank ( or in a vivi nova or standard clearomiser), only use a standard battery ego t etc for that liquid, anything else kills the flavour. :(

Out of 5 Pre Punched Boge Carto's for my DCT 3 provided me a horrific burnt taste instantly (standard voltage to start with) Prefer a working one over a Pre Punched DC anyone know a decent place to get them from where they arn't sending out dodgy batches?

Oooh, looky looky what turned up today :D

From scorchisio's mate - have so far tried the Raspberry and absolutely loving it :)

Was a bit of a harder draw and not producing much vapour at first, but think that was down to my CE5 being freshly cleaned in preparation, seems perfectly fine now and producing more vapour than the Vapeland stuff (50/50 PG/VG in this stuff for anyone that wants to know). Liking the taste a lot, much fresher and fruitier – less artificial than the Vapeland equivalent.

All in all – excellent flavour, will be in touch for more when these bottles are running low I’m absolutely certain!

GVC needs at least 30 days steeping time. When i bought his, it said 12 days steeping and now I've tried it a month later the colour has become much darker. Imagine the colour of maple syrup and it tastes much better.

the bottle i have is 6 weeks old if not older, what do you vape it with because ive been going off it since i got better/more expensive equipment. It only seems nice in a standard clearomiser on a normal cheap battery

18mg 50/50 is what I use
The 18mg 100% VG has less flavour imo

Using it on a RSST. 2.2ohms

Well, I did it.....

Just ordered a SS Vamo, Kanger Protank some 18350 batteries (I have a charger already and some 18650's for my torch) and a few other bits to play with. :o

Along with some GVC, and another batch from Simon!

Thats it, i promise, I'm not spending anymore.....! :D

ive spent almost all my disposable income this month on vaping gear and shaving gear, £100 on juice which will last me a good 6 months ( mostly simons juices) £25 on a vamo and 16.99 on a kanger protank. bought some vivi novas and drip tips im well out of pocket. Also spent a ton on shaving products for traditional DE shaving having bought a merkur razor and various stuff.
