-edit- looks like the 'e-cig' that Ryan Air sells isn't actually a proper one and it doesn't produce vapour. This is just from googling so I really don't know whether it's all fact or BS.

They are cotton wool like things in cardboard tubes so you are correct they ain't ecigs.

I've stealth vaped on planes loads of times. You double inhale and hold it in for a long time, there is no vapour on exhale. I use 36mg PG only juice and it works fine.

No problem it wasn't something I invented or anything just learnt about it on vaping forums. The reason I use 36mg (normally use 18-24mg) is because I don't want to have to be vaping away like I normally would. Just a drag or two now and then. The no VG is just because I can since I mix and VG makes more vapour. I don't rip the **** out of it but get my fix. Worth pointing out not to vape in the toilets as the smoke alarms can be set off by it.
 
Last thing passengers need on a plane is for an alarm to go off!
I did get a bit light headed trying the double vape too.
At the moment, I'm using 18 and 24mg but I really want to settle on 18mg even though I end up vaping more of it in any one go.

From the account I heard an alarm isn't sounded it just notifies the cabin crew.

That makes more sense. I'm sure a few years ago I saw cabin crew give someone a ticking off for smoking in the loo. I remember the days we had ash trays on the arms between the seats!

I've vaped on planes recently, I didn't ask so not sure if it is allowed or not, but no one seemed to care.

I'm pretty sure it is airline specific though. They all allow you to carry them, but usage wise will be down to their own discrepancies.


EDIT - Not getting on with my Mini Nova at all :( It looks like it would vape epic if it would stop burning the wick!! Seems like the wick isnt drawing the fluid so the coil is burning the string. Only working for a small selection of my eliquids really. Potentially it could be my e-twist which is causing the issue.


So, I am in the market for a new device or possibly just a new battery to use with my mini Nova. Any suggestions? I would love a variable wattage one, but I don't want a big monster of a quantum screwdriver to suck on. What are people saying is the best to get these days?

I thought id up grade again so I ordered a Vision Vivi Nova - V2 kit. Seems though it comes with short wicks. I cant really see the point of short wicks? As soon as the liquid gets below them ill have to do lots of tipping, which seems a bit stupid to me.

So if I'm going to rewick the attys, can anyone point me in the right direction to getting some wick and coil wire? What thickness does the coil wire need to be and id like some natural wick, nothing that's going to give off nasty stuff.
I know cloud9 sell the stuff (but still not sure what thickness to get) but they are only open for business on Saturdays at the moment.

Ive seen a vid of someone wicking with 400 grade mesh, but they had to up the volts to get a decent taste, would make sense that a mesh wick would drain a battery faster than material wick. But the mesh wick interests me, I know it will have a vastly better taste.

EDIT : Someone told me that the coil wire for the Vision eGo (@1.8ohm) was 0.20mm, is it likely to be the same for the vision Nova and if I rewicked them at 2.4 would the thickness of wire be the same; just more turns?

Hi guys, got the wife a EGO-T CE5 a couple of weeks ago and she is chuffed to bits with it. Probably being allowed to use it in the car/house helps, but so far she is sticking to it. She has already stopped wheezing (was mainly when sleeping), says she feels like she has more breath and her clothes don't smell like a ashtray anymore!!

How do you go about cleaning these things?
 
they are a pain to clean, check youtube instructionals. also replace them every few weeks, they are a disposable item when the coils get too burnt.

Check out vapor break for very cheap stuff direct from china
 
I rinse mine under running water and then soak in hand hot warm water for a little bit, then just leave them on a towel overnight to dry up (after shaking most of the water off first).

Some people soak in vodka to get rid of any chemical tastes etc, however the CE5 shouldn't require that at all, just a rinse. :)

then when i put new juice in, leave it 5 mins for the wicks to soak it, then do a couple of burns and u are good to go.
Also get some replaceable coils soon, iirc mine lasted about 3 weeks before i had to change them, u will know when they start going, no flavour and hardly any vaper.

People have already said about cleaning. I strip them all the way down to clean them.

It takes 2 mins to clean a CE5 and they last months, maybe you bought a bad one.

The coil heads are supposedly disposable but it's not that hard to replace the coil and wick. If I can do it, anyone can! The rest of the clearomiser can last a long time.

Oh yeah I should clarify you should dismantle the whole thing and rinse each part separately.

I have used that exact wick before and it gives am amazing vape.

Tips: Never dry burn, burnt cotton is disgusting.
A boil to clean it is recommended.

Wire wise, 0.20mm or 0.18mm if you want a bit higher resistance.
personally would recommend 0.2mm as it is more useful in other applications.

As I have posted these everywhere else today, I thought I may as well put them here as well. Got my juice from scorpionblood.com and it is amazing.

First set up in an IGO-L, was lovely but a little warm. (Just a link due to resolution)

I Just give it a quick rinse out (CE5) chuck the head in the bin , they are only £10 for a pack of five spare heads, I would say mine last about 3/4 weeks and I parp on mine all day long at work, at home I use a mechanical mod with a DiD atomizer, and i must add I have just put in the best wick and coil I've ever done, delicious:D
