The Whiskey Question.....ramble

I tend to drink a Speyside as an everyday drink, a Highland occasionally, and an Island with certain foods.

In terms of everyday drinking, I'm a big fan of Cardhu, the Diageo one that caused all the stir when they labelled the blended one as a "pure malt". The single malt Cardhu is really smooth and very easy drinking.

I don't really rate Irish whiskeys, but I suppose this is through lack of exposure.

Some Scottish blends I just can't drink as they're disgusting, however my mum always seems to get me a miniature Antiquary every year at Christmas and it's lovely.

Mmm I like most whisky's but normally have a bottle of jamesons on the go for an every day drink. It's smooth and not so expensive that I get hacked off when the girlies come round and want it with coke!

Have been through a fair few, generally find I like the Island whiskey's in pretty small quantities - apart from Jura which I can drink loads of. Got a taste for Glenmorangie 12's that are kept in sherry oak though.... might not be a purists choice but it is soooo smooth.
