The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I think this very well might be the prettiest game ive played on pc.

Yes.

I'm getting into this now, very good game indeed just wish CDPR and AMD between them could get xfire properly sorted as I'm having to run on a single card at the moment and this game is just crying out for more power to run with everything turned up to 11 :)

One thing I've noticed though that does bug me is that the wind effect seems to be massively over the top. It's as though there's a permanent force 8 gale blowing everywhere. Every tree, bush, flower, sign, hair etc is constantly blowing around, so much so that what could have been a really nice subtle effect to add a bit more realism now just looks silly and fake. It seems to happen inside as well as I was just in the kitchens of the Bloody Barons hall and sure enough, my hair was still billowing, the drapes in there were flapping around and even the joints of meat hanging up were swinging about, just looks so fake :(

Actually the baron's men constantly fart when you go about the house. It's clear that's causing the draft of strong wind in the house.

Also I dunno, about you, but I have soft hair that looks like a gale is mangling it outside in a breeze :(

Maxed out on a PC with hairworks, It is the best looking game out currently.

Riding along with the horses mane and griffin trophy hair boucning about, approaching a village as the sun goes down with smoke bellowing out of chimneys can't be beaten by any game at the moment.

I really hope they update Hairworks to the new 1.1 version, as it looks better and is much better for performance.

Updating the female characters with it would be great as well.

Over 70 hours, level 21 and I'm only just getting Skellige stuff done!

Just did Yen's Djinn hunt...

Told her to get lost, she seems like a demanding bint who isn't worth the effort and only pesters Geralt when she wants something. Triss is much better :)

The writing for this game continues to impress me no end. So rich in lore and background! I keep ending up seeing something in the distance and having to go explore, too. Oops! :)

I bought this about two weeks ago and on my initial play through - couldn't get into it. Have tomorrow off work so I'm going to give it a really good bash. Just didn't get on with the controls and the confusing mix of a rubbish inventory system and confusing mechanics with the signs, bombs and potions etc

If you have a gaming mouse such as a RAT MMO7, then things will be immensely simpler. I have all the signs mapped to my "hat" switch and the side thumb button. I use the hat press for dodge and the forward most side button for cast. Otherwise maybe consider an XBOX360 pad.

It's a bit frustrating at first until you get the hang of it, but the time investment is worth it. Combat actually feels like you have to put some effort in.

Sooooooo, encountering a bit of a 'dry' patch early on.

I had a side quest which lead to a werewolf, my first one. In short, can't beat him. His heals do more than my attacks...

I'm level 4, he's 7. I'm still on a blade doing 40-45 dmg or what ever it is.

I'm kind of stuck, I have no quests my level, starting area is STRIPPED of stuff to do... Ideas anyone? I feel too weak to do anything in the new area.

I'm playing on Death March.

If you're right at the beginning of the game, did you activate all 5 (I think) stones of power? They give you free points to spend.
