The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I did indeed, have spent a total of 8 points (9?), but mostly wasted as I have no slots for them. These are my current talents:

Did you get the Viper Steel and Silver swords? You kind of needs those if you want to take on the Werewolf if you're lower level.

Also go explore, there are so many quests around that level. There's a level 5 one in the town called Lurch

I tried but I can't craft them?? Need a weaponsmith which is in Novigrad.

Ohhhh, that guy at the garrison!!! Welp, that's being done first thing tonight then lol

Don't forget the Armour smith at the Crow's perch. Also the village with the Werewolf quest also has a Blacksmith. There are plenty all over.

I'm clearly not searching well enough :P

I met the blacksmith in that village "Used to craf' swords and armour, but now it's hoes and buckets" or what ever he said.

The bugger only works at certain times of the day so is rather annoying. Also many more throughout Velen in villages. Also don't forget to use the weapon and armour enhancement grind stones and tables near Armorers and Blacksmiths.

Sooooooo, encountering a bit of a 'dry' patch early on.

I had a side quest which lead to a werewolf, my first one. In short, can't beat him. His heals do more than my attacks...

I'm level 4, he's 7. I'm still on a blade doing 40-45 dmg or what ever it is.

I'm kind of stuck, I have no quests my level, starting area is STRIPPED of stuff to do... Ideas anyone? I feel too weak to do anything in the new area.

I'm playing on Death March.

I've had an impossible to kill monster, I got so frustrated & annoyed that in the end I activated god mode so I could move on & even then it took a hell of a beating to kill it

Use cursed oil if you have it, otherwise just keep setting the bugger on fire.

Bombs that do damage over time are also useful, devils puffball and dragon's dream if you have either of those as that stops them from healing.

Still going to be really tough though with you being half it's level.

I think I was level 4 when I did the werewolf (Death March), though I had upgraded my sword. Took me absolutely ages though, many failed attempts and the healing was very annoying. I mainly used Axii.

I didn't attempt it tonight, but I did make some good headway though with the new swords.

I'll tackle the werewold once I've done the Barons quests.

LoL I've done that on games in the past :-) Some bosses are ridiculous and ruins the story.

Just playing W3 last night and realised how very pretty it can be in many areas after the huge graphics update a week or so ago. Have we had the graphics put back to where they were before release when Sony/MS to CDProjekt to turn down the PC graphics.

W3 Mountain (6MB).

Andi.

Anyone tried CrossFire with the new 15.7 AMD driver that was recently released? I haven't been on my PC for about a week so I'll give it a go tonight.

I'm gonna leave the game now and play it again with both DLCs and all patches. Should be fresh by then!

Here is a good review from Forbes that pretty much sums up the game for me. I particularly agree with the points made about the RPG elements feeling pointless. I disagree with the sentiment that the game's problems mostly stem form the open-world though.
