The World's Largest Restaurant

I've not been to that particular place but I've been to lots of the very large eateries. To be honest most of them are very noisy, your food takes a long time to arrive but they are nice if you're having a party.
 
I went in 2002, we took a party of 1500!

I went to Thailand for the 2002/2003 World Scout Jamboree. The UK contingent went out early for Christmas and as part of the build up we all went to this restaurant on the 10 person tuktuks. There was a stream of them as far as you could see and they closed a lane of the highway for us (we were getting rolling roadblocks and police escorts just for a coach load!)

The place is huge and it was a mad night, lots of weird and wonderful food (definitely when your 14), the waiters on rollerskates are ace and the flying waiter was cool. They took our 1500 party with ease and still had loads of room for other parties. They have some cool features, the pagoda is huge and there are different themed areas. They have a floor plan on the website.

Interesting maths going on there with the staff but that aside, does sound quite cool.

Probably be a bit lame going there alone though. Seems like a group dining place.
 
Not sure the number of chefs is enough for the amount of dishes they claim to produce per hour. And if it is then I'd definately rather eat somewhere a little more attention is payed to the quality rather than them be under pressure from the clock.

And the best places I ate over there were the Japanese restaurants. :cool:
