Just wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a source of info for my theory test. There are plenty of books in smiths, but they're up to about £30 and I've got no idea which is best. Are there any (preferably free!) good sources online that people know about? Or if not, which book/CD would you recommend I trawl ebay for?

\o/ as poster above said.

I passesd mine after reading a few notes for 2 hours before which my instructor had given me. It's more of a money spinner for them :P.

All I did was learn the stopping distances (you can find these online), and then I did free online practice tests for a few days before my actual theory test.

35/35.

i bought a copy of the highway code, was just over a quid from memory and it had all required information. But all my questions were very very easy, i would concentrate more on the hazard perception, its not difficult but it took me some practicing to understand what it required :(

I think it's worth practicing the hazard perception test.

It's such an odd and pointless test that it could catch you out, despite having the common sense to pass the theory.

Thanks, thats really handy :)
I tried a test and got 25/35. Not bad, but still a fail. You're right that most of it seems to be common sense, but there are a few things I need to learn. (Speeds limits, stopping distances etc). I'll get a copy of the highway code and then try again :)

Is there a sample hazard perception online anywhere, or do I have to buy a cd?
