Thermalright IFX-14: The Next HS King?

Would rather just go to alternative cooling methods now tbh. Heatsinks have become a joke.

I cannot be the only person who thinks all modern heatsinks are ugly peices of ****, nothing comes close to the industrial look of the Alpha PAL series.

I dont think i would feel safe knowing that thing is strapped to a fairly flimsy piece of PCB, i got horrib images of it just coming loose, falling and taking half of the motherboard with it :(

I actually think modern heatsinks look awesome, it sort of shows off how powerful your PC is, and that it needs such a big heatsink to keep it cool.

No, watercooling and/or phasechange does that. A large heatsink just looks like a deformed hunk of metal that will bend your mobo.

lol I think large heatsinks look awsome, watercooling is deffinately cooler though, however, it is more expensive and more hassel.

There ok if u dont have a windowed case cause you dont have to explain to your mates what that huge chunk of metal is doing sticking out your motherboard. This then leads you onto to talking about how you spent £40 just to get your CPU a few degrees cooler

OMG huge. I have to say some heat sinks are plain ugly. Zalman still make very good looking and performing ones. Though i have to say cases will have to get bigger or cpus are gona have to get cooler.
