Hi

Just installed one off these in my MSI z690 edge /12700k /Arctic Freezer 2 360 and it has definitely reduced my temps by at least 9c from the stress test i have done.

Maybe the fresh thermal paste applied in a thin layer also helped but ill take the improvement for a tenner.

Also ordered one just as precaution, waiting delivery.
What temperatures was/are you getting now? I'm running a 12700K + MSI Z690 Tomahawk DDR4.
Cinebench I managed to stay under 80C, while it stayed at 4.8GHz on Performance Cores and 3.7GHz on E Cores.
Under normal gaming, stays under 60C.

Highest temperature core in Cinebench after multiple runs was 64C on core 6 all other cores temps came under that, 4.713Ghz/ 3.7 E cores.

Gaming wise Horizon zero dawn did not go past 50c and same goes for Assetto Corsa Competizione but i am running at 4k so that could be why.

Before the change Cinebench was around 72/74c.

What cpu cooler are you running ?

Received the item today, installed and it really does work.
When I first installed the CPU, few months ago, temperatures were fine. Gradually degrading. I guess the issue is linear and eventually many people will face the issue, sadly.
The Thermalright kit included some thermal paste, not sure about longevity, but I’m waiting for some genuine top quality paste to be delivered.
Temperatures back under control, roughly 10C cooler in every scenario, and impressive not going past 70C in Cinebench all cores.

Great to hear it made a difference for you also, these really should become std on all Intel motherboards.
