well no i've found reviews proving the oppositeDon't reviews state the Silver Arrow outperforms the NH-D14?
ok I'm thinking of getting the silver arrow, I''l be overclocking my new X6 1090t, hope I can push to 4ghz with it
THanks!

so many different opinions, I'll have to make a decision, tough one...I've been doing this for each component..a nightmareEr hum *link in sig*
I personally would go with the Silver Arrow because it ends up more efficient than the Noctua for a lower price.
Xbitlabs' results differs to OC3D but in my experience both performed very similarly.
Also the Thermalright fans are much better, they are quieter and shift a lot of air.
What you get with Noctua is excellent support and warranty though.
My noctua can go up to 4.4Ghz below 85C ! Excellent and beauty but I might try 2 x thermalright 140mm 2 fans onto Noctua D14 and use IC Diamond Thermal Compound with a new i7 950 after xmas. Should be interesting.
In all honesty, there's so little difference in performance, just pick the one that is quieter, easier to fit, and the one that is most aesthetically pleasing to you....

I wondered how long it would take for you to post bulldog! lol
Worth pointing out that he has an ultra low voltage golden i7 920. Hence the low temp at that clock speed...
