Yeah i know but if i have a master list, I can cross off the things ive got, or that the other person leaves :)

tea bags, kettle :)
Don't unpack the playstation and TV until the end of the move otherwise you will never get it all unpacked.
Have a visit to Ikea, I'm sure they sell (almost) everything you need in one big box.

Every new place i rent (well almost) I always get general kitchen things like a frying pan and maybe some pots, chopping board Definately.

You can guarantee in a rented house the stuff will be cheap and/or not really cared for.

Screwdrivers and bulbs are a must.

The list continues:
Bedding
Bleach & cleaning stuff
Air fresheners to your preference (stops the house smeling of cleaning stuff)

I'm going through the same sort of stuff currently as I move in 4 weeks

A random sign on the bathroom loo door with "Biohazard, Do Not Enter" that way everyone knows it's a boys bathroom.

Yes sorry knifes definately... I bought a set every new house until I went out and spent serious money on a set and made sure they were looked after.

Lock changing might be a tad drastic plus you'd have to ask the agents or landlord.

im buying, not renting ;)

Just looking for the things im gonna need - like another example:

shower curtain, doormat

Those are things you want, not need! :p

As guys have said though - kettle, tools, light bulbs, etc - they are your essentials. Everything else can be bought later :)

Ok, heres my list in PRIORITY oder! :D

TV
XBox / Playstation
DVD Player
Computer
Stereo

Crockery

And thats enough to live on for now

Get a good tool kit with a hammer, pliers, screwdrivers etc. Will be very handy for building flat pack furniture and putting up pictures etc. Get some screws and nails too.

Thick plastic sheeting
disposable overalls
