Folks can you me suggestions of what to do with GF on Friday, within an hour or two from Bristol. Nothing too expensive i.e. not above £20 each (not including fuel) and no rude suggestions (as i'm sure we'll do that anyway).

So far i've come up with Longleet Safari Park.

btw it's her Birthday and we both have the whole day off

How old are you guys and what kind of things does she like doing?

The weather around Longleat on Friday is only going to be a bit cold so I'd imagine most of the interesting animals like the Lions, Monkeys and Rhinos won't be running around too much.

That leaves the stately home which would only interest old people and the amusement park which is mainly for kids.

Also driving back up the A36 on a Friday afternoon would be a nightmare.

What about Clifton zoo, I haven't been there since i was at primary school, 20+ yrs, but I hear it's still good and atleast you'll get to see some animals.

Bath is a nice place to visit too.

The Natural History Museum in London is just over an hour away and free. I think the Science Museum is just a few blocks away too.

We're 25, thanks for the Zoo suggestion, actually went there a few months ago so no need to go again.

So London or Longleat :), gotta be back by 6pm btw hehe

I went, it was great fun hurling rocks at Ben Fogle

If you're willing to get to London, then do. The South Ken area is great for a day out, you have the Victoria and Albert, the Science and the Natural History museums all in one place, topped off with the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park on the top. Ace if it's a nice day, or even a rainy one.

Since you're next to it, I reccomend Bath as well, but only really if it's nice weather. Some of the countryside around there is ace, and the city centre is great for a few hours. then you can walk along the canal or one of the zillions of places to walk to.

But then again, I could be boring.

Ah I have the answer.

For one of my gf's birthdays I took her to a fantastic advanced caving course at wookey hole. was home before 6pm and I b***** loved it, dunno about her though.
