The first 3 are pretty 'typical', and don't grab me too much. Don't get me wrong, they are still pretty damn good. Number 5 does it for me though. Very plain, clean and simple. Good subject position, and nice non-distractive BG. I like ;)

Well done

Now that I've recovered from yet more great shots from MK I can say that, along with the others, 5 is my favourite. Great composition, great clarity and great simplicity.

Good work.

Hmm, I'm liking your 150mm, I may have to buy one. Do you get on well with it?

Also are those photos straight of the cam, or have you PS them?

Cheers folks. I agree with all of you in that number 5 is my favourite of the day. I think the key to insect macro photography is simplicity. All you need is the subject, a little bit of setting to show its habitat, and a good dose of nice simple bokeh.

Yup, I love it. It can be a little tricky to use due to its 1:1 magnification and focal length, but after a bit of practice its a great lens. It also performs superbly for non macro shots.

Thank you. Im sure you can find bugs anywhere in the world. The're not just up here in the north. :p You just have to look closer and move slower.
