But wait, I'm not retarded so there's nothing for me to post (;
Then why is your emoticon the wrong way round :p;)

Definitely seperate since the milk will reduce the temperature which will reduce the effect of diffusion of the tea 'molecules' into the liquid and so it will take longer to get a good strong cup of tea...

Ive always subscribed to the adage that if making a pot of tea, warm the pot by putting in some hot water on its own (and thrown out) before actually making the tea...

I dont get people who drink weak tea :confused:

I can't tell the time on analogue watches/clocks...

Well I can...But I have to work it out in my head.

"Right...big hand is at one, two, three, four, five...and little hand is at one, two three...So...Half past five?"

I'm another one that doesn't really know how to make a cup of tea. Well I do, but I just sort of had to figure it out for myself the first time I did it. I've only ever had tea about twice in my life so how am I supposed to automatically know how to make it?

True, but as it is such a fundemental part of life in Britain (we drink like half a billion cups a year) it does seem a little unusual.

+1

Only learnt this recently. It apparently "burns the coffee" if you put hot water straight on to the granules. You can certainly taste the difference.

No thats arse about, what happens is if you put the milk in first the hot water burns the milk.

Really annoys me when people make tea with the teabag still in it... adding sugar and milk...

None of the sugar stays in the tea as its all on the teabag which has (hopefully) been removed before being given to me.

I can't make coffee... though the boyf just drinks it black so its not really rocket science :rolleyes: I don't understand the differences between the other types of coffee though.

Technically it makes sense to take the teabag out first before putting milk/sugar in. As you can judge the strength of the tea, the water flows through the bag better and you can judge the amount of water before milk ratio easier.

However I can see that if you let it steep long enough then add the milk before taking the teabag out you can judge the strength of the cuppa by the colour of the milky tea. I think the biggest problem arises when you put the milk in too early.

IMHO.. er.. I may be overanalysing this.. :p
