driving down the road bout 11pm not really paying attention to my speed, doing about 40 in a 30mph

anyway up ahead i see to hi vis jackets so i hit the anchors and carry on by.

should i be expecting a letter or would the police have stopped me there and then?

I got done by a copper with a laser thingy and he stopped me on the spot. That's all I can say though.

Completely depends on the equipment being used.

I got done by a roadside couple of cops and got a NIP in the post.

Always thought you had to be pulled at the roadside due to the units not capturing photographic evidence, luckier than i thought then when they aimed one at my direction last time

11pm at night, shouldn't they be doing something more productive like looking for drink drivers or uninsured/stolen vehicles.

I saw one of these units this morning, i assumed it was ANPR because doing more than 30 on that particular bit of road is nigh on impossible! About 6 coppers and a tripod mounted thingy.
