Think my X-25m is running a little slow....

And just for info, comparison with the new Intel drivers installed

Reads gone up, writes gone down slightly actually, but seen as how 99% of time its reading rather than writing figure its worth it

Somethings's definitely wrong there. Did you secure erase before doing anything with it?
Can you run Crystaldiskinfo and post a screenshot?

ok now crystaldisk says its good. 1 week ago i think it was saying something about a loose cable and I changed the sata cable.

Btw formatting a usb to change to latest firmware. Maybe thats the case.

For comparison purposes, here's what I did with mine.

1. Updated the SSD firmware to the latest one here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3114&DwnldID=18363&lang=eng

2 Install W7

3 Disable drive indexing right after install

4 Disable superfetch and windows search

5 Downloaded and ran SSD Tweaker 1.4

6 Disabled and re-enabled "Write back caching" by unchecking and checking it back.

7 Installed latest IRST Driver

and here's the result.

Reading up on this. Is it possible to mount the iso to a USB stick to act the same way as a CD? If so how? Just Iam currently using my netbook as my desktop as went kapoot.

How does my results look. Ive updated firmware and done above.

80GB model is a little slower than the 160GB anyway. Try running the Intel SSD Optimiser tool then you will get around 380-400 ish. What also happens is that as these drives fill up the performance goes down slightly as well. Realworld useage the difference is unnoticeable anyway.

This is mine having used it heavily since Jan 2010 & its got about 30Gb full so only 44.5GB free. This result was just after the very latest driver station AHCI drivers & running the Intel SSD Optimiser tool. I am on Vista 32 bit and that is marginally slower than Windows 7 for SSD.
