Thinking about getting my 1st SSD

i use sleep, dont even have an SSD, but it resumes back to login screen in less than 5 secconds, and is ready to go again in about 15, (my cheap ssd )

Still not 100% sure if I would see much of a performance hit, cos all my apps that I use daily run in the memory, so no performance boost to be had there. The boot up time would be noticeable faster, but I always use sleep now.

So how about a SSD for my games drive, cos its the games that take the time to load up?

Just get one to try it, if it turns out to be not to your satisfaction, sell it, you're bound to get most of what you paid for it back on MM.

Phil, get one I just got one and its great. Boots fast, can use windows as soon as I log in now like IE, Photoshop loads in about 3 secs and the O/S just feels snapier to me.

Well Ive just ordered the 90gb version. At the end of the day, Id be thinking "what if" and I cant have that.. So it looks like I'll be reinstalling windows monday.

1 question, do I need to upgrade the firmware, or will it be ok,, cos I hate doing things like that incase I mess things up?
