Hey,
I am thinking of getting a Fuji S5600 and was wondering is this the best camera for its price? Does the camera accept 2gb mem cards or is 1gb the maximum and also as I need rechargeable batteries what ones should I go for?2500mah?

So many questions, hope I can get them answered. Thanks all.

Not sure on the memory card, however I have found a 512mb to be plenty. I am using Energizer 2500mah batteries with mine and get between five and eight hundred shots per charge.

I think it is pretty much the best camera you can buy for £115. I use unbranded 2500 mAh batteries and they seem to last a long time, not quite sure on the memory card maximum size, I use a 1GB and it stores 800+ max quality JPEG pictures. Highly recommend this camera on this budget.

If you going to buy batteries for it have alook at the new type that don't loose charge like normal nimh. I think the sanyo eneloop seem to get rave reviews on dpreview and I have seen the hybrio ones on sale here now.

Thanks for all the replies guys, think I'm going to buy the camera tomorrow along with some 2500mah rechargeable batteries and a charger and a 1gb mem card. It seems theres a type M and type H cards, does it matter if I get either one?
Apart from that is there any must have products for this camera?

Thanks

I was under the impression only Type M worked however my 512mb arrived and was Type H... worked fine.

I would get a Tripod too, I got a Hama one for £4.50 which is pretty decent... however it got slightly broke during a flight. Another good thing to have is a camera bag for all your bits, batteries, memory cards etc. and most importantly to protect the camera.

Thanks for the tips, will get a tripod if its only £4.50,the build quality is alright for your hama?Have you got the full name of it?Any bags I should look out for or any would do?

Hama Tripod Star 700 EF Digital

Seems to have gone back up in price though unfortunately (still only about £11-12). Lowepro are normally considered quite good camera bags afaik.

Cheers for the help mate.Should be going into town and buying the s5600 on friday can't wait!

BTW for the batteries is the higher the mah the better for cameras or is there a maximum mah for batteries?Sorry if it sounds a bit stupid but thats what my mum said.lol

The higher the mah the longer they will last in most cases, but a good 2300mah will probably be better than a cheap one rated at 2700mah... bit like PSUs really.

Ahh thats true,I was thinking of getting some competitors own brand batteries as its only £3.20 for 4x2600mah.On the fuji website the box content says it has a shoulder strap for carrying the camera recharge.Whats a camera recharge?

Cheers
