So I started another thread in the graphics card section a little while ago and people were questioning my desire to get an Nvidia 1080Ti with a 60Hz 1440p monitor and after thinking about it for a bit I kind of agree with them so I was thinking of upgrading to a 4k monitor at the same time as I get my new computer.
I was going to go with this monitor:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...descreen-led-monitor-black-red-mo-096-ac.html
or this monitor:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/dell...-led-4k-monitor-midnight-black-mo-085-de.html
and was wondering whether people thought an Nvidia 1080Ti would be good enough for 60fps gaming at 4k? I'd really enjoy a 4k monitor for the extra work space when programming as well as also wanting the better graphics when gaming.
As I said I currently have a 60Hz 1440p monitor without G-sync so I wouldn't be losing out on anything by upgrading to another 60Hz monitor although the Acer having G-sync might be a nice option although it is a bit small at 27". I think I'd rather have one that was larger than 30" for my work.
So I'm just looking for peoples views especially from people who have already gone 4k. Was it worth the money when it came to games? Did it increase your productivity at all?
Thanks for any help .
