thinking of getting a new motorbike..

600cc i think although possibly 1000cc dependant on prices e.g it's cheaper to get a fireblade on finance (£8300 total) than a 600RR (£8700 total) :confused:

i'm planning on racing it so it will have to be an exceptional stock engine.

thoughts on this from the OCUK massive?

as an aside i was thinking if i go road bike, maybe get a 600+n o s .

Lets start with what do you ride now? If you haven't ridden anything big before, start with a 600 and don't go spending 8k+! You can pickup a lot of GSXRs/R6s/CBRs/ZXRs for around the 3k mark second hand in very good nick! They'll teach you to ride better, be sharper on handling than the thous too. Pick the colour you like best as they are all pretty level pegged!

Hehe, what a very strange thread. I am quite drunk now so my initial reaction is go and get a kwak zx12r and race that.

well to sum up i've been racing 6 years(with some success - a couple of championships), have 6 months road experience and have ridden/raced everything from stock 600s to tuned 1000s with kit ECUs etc. even raced toselands old CBR600 a few years back.

i can handle a bike ok i reckon.
