thinking of joining bulldog

Yep, for their 8mb service, as i live 1.35km from the line it seems very attractive.

Anyone else here on the 8meg service? How are the speeds/pings?

I would definatly join but one thing stopping me is the phone line which you have to get as well as the BB.

Im currently on Post Office home phone, and im not sure if i want to switch to bulldogs service as it seems a bit dodgy, what is it like? is it pretty much the same ?

i have bulldog and am happy with it

if you dont want to lose your current line, get bulldog to install a new line.

they have offers from time to time for new lines for £1.

This may sound stupid, but I have only 1 socket working at home, which is the master socket, the other 2 have died for no reason and BT will charge around £1500 to fix it.

So is it possible to get Bulldog 8mbit with new line? Would this mean, they will make another master socket? or do some sort of split?

another master line.

and you can just wire extensions to your existing bt master socket yourself.

depeding on what the problem is, i cant see why they would want to charge you that much just to run extensions..

Had NO problems with my Bulldog since i joined in September, I live around the same distance and connect at 7.4 usually. Have to use the usb modem as my router doesnt seem to play OK with this line but otherwise its great.

Just waiting to see if they do a ADSL2 service soon.

Gaming isnt very good on the usb modem, BF2 lags like crazy, but browsing is OK.
