This guy runs America?!

I'm tired of the Bush = Stupid concept - the man isn't smart in some ways, but in others he is extremely smart - measures of charisma and influence, also confidence... otherwise he wouldnt be where he is

Ah, but he gets away with it, because many people see him as "one of the lads" and can identify with him as being someone they *might* hang out with.

You know, the silly friend that everyone had, that always gets into a sticky problems, but is strangely lovable all the same?

LOL charisma?? you honestly think hes charismatic??. As for influence??, only influential because hes in a position of power tbh...he wouldnt be so influential if he wasnt president. Confidence again stems from the fact that hes President of the most powerful country in the world. I suppose being president of USA you need a lot of confidence to carry off the job...
He only got to where he is by a few votes being rigged in Florida...and yes Daddy did give him a bit of a helping hand.

But the thing i love most about him is his gaffe's, seems to be a bit of a comedian without him knowing about it:p

I'm normally spared CBS's posts thanks to the wonders of the ignore list, but as someone else quoted this one up....

Isn't smart in some ways? What, as in the intellectual ones? :D

Being charismatic (compared to someone like Clinton he has the charisma of a week-old doggie doo), influential (thanks to daddy's money and old-boy network) and confident doesn't stop him being stupid.

I don't believe that someone who is a complete idiot could become President of the United States. Ergo, G.W. Bush is not a complete idiot.

I don't deny that he was assisted to some degree by his father's position and wealth, but he must have been doing something right.

Yeah, as I said above:

People can identify with him, therefore he gets support.

He might not be the best with words, and can be a clumsy oaf at times, but hes certainly not a complete reject.
