This Weeks Special Gskill DDR2 Ram ok for a EVGA 680i board?

Hi Folks.

Looking to start my new build and am trying to make savings without sacrificing performance.

Was looking at the Corsair Dominator Ram but This weeks special Offer on the Gskill Ram has had me thinking of getting that instead.

Does anyone have this particular Motherboard and Memory combination and have you encountered any problems. I will be using a C2D E6600 and one of the new 8800GTS cards (not decided if I am going to go with the 320 or 640).

As a quick edit. will this memory also work with SLi memory on the 680i chispet?

No one has this Ram and motherboard combination or is able to give me some advice?

Sorry not got that combination, have the EVGA 680i board but with the Corsair Dominator ram. Have a pretty much identical setup to what you are thinking of (8800GTS 640Mb and E6600). Good luck with your build.

Are you using 4 x 1GB or 2 x 2GB? I'm guessing you're using the former.

4 x 1Gb, seemed to suggest in the evga manual that the 680i doesn't support 2Gb modules.

Okay, thank you. I thought the eVGA 680i board had a hard time with 4 x 1GB... do you have to run them at 2T command rate?
