Thought id treat myself :-)

Try a quick strap (r strap copy) or similar, far more comfortable than a neck strap I've found. Worked lovely with my 1DmkIII and a 70-200 and also the 120-300. In fact I use it all the time now no matter what lens.

Get rid of the OEM strap for a start! Get yourself an Op-Tech Pro strap and you'll notice a huge difference. Best £25 worth of camera kit you can own.

I have one, but i don't use it for 2 reasons.

1 - its bulky, i cant fold it as much as the Canon one
2 - the plastic clip. It is only as strong as its weakest part, i hate for that to accidentally unclip when i have it over my shoulder....

The deal breaker for me is no. 2. I just don't trust it.

Bought a second hand 2x kenko dg converter for it, not bad results :D

Loving the shots, very sharp even with the 2x converter on it. How much does it stop it down?

edit : I can see its f/8, but is this wide open? if so thats a hell of a drop from f/2.8

Yes there nice lenses, £900 pretty good secondhand, this one goes for £1600 from the "k" man, im sure canon will be doing rebates soon, theyve started in the states.

Indeed, I'm waiting for a Mr K to get stock of a 24-70 right now as I need it for next week and this money is burning a hole in my pocket! Thing is...in 2 weeks due to a string of hard work and luck I can afford a second hand 70-200 2.8 IS - Lens collection will look very tidy then :)
