Small update.
I’ve got the front plate in the car just in case but man, so much better to look at.
Got a trackday on the 2nd July @ Oulton park if anyone is around.
Had a great drive out on the dry roads today using track mode for the first time. Wow really dials up the power and loosens the VSA for a little more feel.
Also got the car booked in with Honda for some recall work next week. Getting the car fitted with the Quicksilver race cats.
They completely remove the second cat and the primary cat is replaced by a 200 cel unit.
Supposed gains are 25bhp peak on a stock car but I’m doing it to unlock a little more noise in honesty. Not too dissimilar to the GTR y-pipe mod.
Also this turned up:

JB4 tuning box. The very of NSX engine tuning products.
Multiple maps available for different fuelling. Already spoken to autotorque (GTR specialists) who are more than happy to install for me.
Gains are below on a stock car:
- 40bhp boost when running 91 octane (97 Ron)
- 60 bhp boost when running 93 octane (99 Ron)
- 100 bhp boost when running 98 octane (race fuel)
It does this mainly by upping the boost. Stock boost is 0.9 bar peak. The max map takes it to 1.1 bar. Well within threshold.
I’d expect with the race cats to get around 100bhp gain fly wheel.
Exhaust options were considered but I’m staying stock for now. Not much to be gained other than different styles or sound. I also want to keep the stock valving system closed in quiet and sport mode and open in sport+ & track.
