Ok, im putting this together for a friend, he wants to be able to game pretty well, but wants to keep the cost down.

NOTE ABOUT THE GRAPHICS CARD:
When the card arrives i am going to give him £15 + wireless card + disk drive + 8800gt + build it in return for the 4850, to give me an upgrade and keep his costs down

really not sure about the mobo. should i go p43 instead? or reccomend one?
is there anywhere the price can be dropped?

complete respec is fine too.

If you are not going to overclock use the stock cooler which will save you 13 quidand i agree with pastymuncher go for the other case.

you sure that case will fit an 8800gt? just want to be sure.

Yes. I have both gpu and case. It will take a 10 inch card with the removable hdd rack fitted or a much bigger card with it removed. The case has a surprising amount of room inside actually. Rubber grommets for hdd mounting too. Airflow is decent as the whole of the front facia has holes around the perimeter to let air in. It will take a 80mm fan at the lower front and a 120mm fan at the rear as well as the side panel being able to take a 80mm fan. The side panel also has a vent where the graphics card sits. I have had a 3.4Ghz E4300 and a very hot X1900XT in mine with no problems.
