Well I've been thinking of building my own pc for a while, ready for the glut of new games coming out for the pc, et:quake wars, cod4, tfc 2 etc . Then I saw the prebuilt pcs added to the online store, and the prices seem really reasonable as the one I was thinking of building was a similar spec but a bit more expensive. And obviously the big advantage is not having the hassle of building one myself.

This is the one I'm thinking of buying,http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-005-OC.

What are your thoughts on it, as although Ive done a bit of research recently on all the current products out there(current pc is 3 years old which I built myself)Im no expert. Thanks in advance.

That's the very one I ordered on Friday!! Deal of the week one?
Due tommorow but believe it when I get it etc

if i had to buy a higher end pre-built, it would have to be from o/cers, their cust serv etc is fantastic, and prices are excellent.

as for the case, it suits every need, unfortunately with a case everyone has a specific preference, ive had my eye on lian li for some time and think they would be an excellent choice.

on the other hand ive had an Antec AMG1000 Plusview case for a few years and its been an amazing piece of art. so i reckon that gamer case would be quite beneficial. doesnet look nice tho :P

Just for comparisons sake I've specified one that is almost identical but not pre-built or overclocked and you save about £130 which is a pretty hefty saving for building it yourself plus even more could probably be shaved off if required. Oh and for the record the case is ugly. :)

Its amazing how people look at things as i actually think the case looks good. Perhaps i should get my eyes tested!

I was very, very tempted by this system myself! I do think it represents good value as its pre-built/overclocked and you'll have a warranty with it! Although i haven't built a PC from scratch myself, whats putting me of is the problems i've had with faulty bits on this machine which a mate built for me. I've had monitor, RAM, graphics card failures, and a compatibilty problem between CPU and Motherboard which caused us a major headache!

At least with this system you'd have peace of mind!

I'm just holding of as i can wait until around Xmas by which time a few new bits should be out!

Surely if you asked overclockers to just change the case and pay the difference they would? They say they are all built after your order therefore they can just build it with a different case or loss money becase i would never buy that case i dont like it and i have a very fury dog who sleeps infront of the pc!
