I've been looking at three's deal with the Nokia 6280.

Basically its 300mins a month and double texts for 6months (meaning 2000 a month for 6 months). there's 25 mins of video calls and 100 photo/video messages too.

all for £30 a month and a free phone, drawback is 18 month contract.

how does this rate? I know the deal's pretty dam good but what is 3 like in terms of coverage and what's the phone like?

I got the 600 minutes /500 texts for 27.50 deal (half price for 6 months) with the 6280 phone and i honestly wouldnt recommend it. both mine and my brothers phones have had the same fault whereby there is dust trapped behind the screen of the phone, that and the poor battery life while playing mp3's has soured me against this phone. good deal however!

Just beware if you're getting it on Three - a lot of handsets are prone to crashing, including mine, and I'm about to send it back for a third replacement.

Its available this month on O2.

Dont go with three.

for £30 i imagine you can get a fair few minutes with O2 and video calls are inclusive in your overall minutes.

So if you got 400 minutes a month, you could make 400 minutes worth of video calls and pay no more than 400 minutes of voice.

Have a look at T-Mobile's new flext tariff. I've not looked greatly into it but it seems pretty good :)

There is a good reason why most networks haven't launched this phone yet.... And it's already been brought up in this thread.

I'd hold off for a couple of months on getting a 6280 in all honesty.

well i switched over from an o2 deal, 200 minutes 400 texts for £35.
ive got no problems with the network....just the phone!

I just got one last week my self, as did my bro a couple of days before, both on the 3 network. The battery life is bad if you keep the bluetooth on but apart from that I have noticed no problems with the phone my self. My bro how ever has noticed that the LCD top slider part of the phone rattles and seems to be lose from the bottom keypad part, but those are the only problems I have found.

One downer is that the phone is only Nokia Series 40 software, not symbian as it looks, so if you are wanting a symbian version of this phone wait for the N80, which has a 3mp camera and a double res screen.
