Time For A New Phone - Help!

It's time to move on from my Honor 9 Lite which is getting a bit slow.

I don't play games, mainly using it for browsing, apps and er telephone calls.

I recently looked at a Redmi Note 8 Pro but didn't really like the MIUI that I saw on it. I'd prefer something that's close to Android if possible, I loved my Nexus 5X before it bricked itself.

What are my options? Looking to spend up to £300 as well.

A friend of mine recently bought the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite and he's very happy with it, looks great and has solid performance from what I've seen of it.

I think it cost him £240 for the 128GB version.

Isn't a pixel 3a in budget? If you want stock android sounds like it's made for you.
