Time for a re-install of windows? or can i solve my problem.e6600 50% load on desktop

Basicaly i have just installed f-secure on my pc...it found allot of viruses and sorted them...ever since my pc performance has dropped so much i am considering re-installing window....whats your opinion.

ALso...any tips on a good way to copy all of my files....maybe i need to borrow a hard drive from some one to copy the data onto it.

Backup to disc/ or external drive.

But have you found out what is using your resources?

Click the 'Processes' tab and check that first.

well i have like 50process happening....its a bit crammed...

yep if you now click on the CPU tab... it will order by CPU usage... use this to determine what is eating your CPU

with all that stuff in your quick launch alone, id say it probably would be better to just reinstall lol
