Hello all,
This system of mine, has held it's own in time, since 2013.
With a recent failure of one of my gpu's, my system now needs an upgrade.
I've looked through several of these threads to gain a good idea of my plans.
My use of the computer is gaming mostly.
So I'd like to future proof for 1444p 144hz from 1080p 120hz,
with a monitor upgrade later in the year.
£1k budget to replace;
gpu
cpu
cooler
board
ram
case
Currently running with;
GTX660Ti (one failed)
i2500k
Noctua NH D14
4*4 GB sammy green DDR3 1600 mhz
Z77x UD3H
Define R4 case
The silent case, is a good idea, as the computer is in my bedroom, but not needed.
My ideas of a basket.
My basket at Overclockers UK:
So, is my idea of this basket good?
With Ryzen 3000 on the horizon, I do think,
I should struggle along until the release of the new CPU's,
to see if it affects the prices before upgrading.
I'd like your guys opinions, thanks.
