How many lessons did it take to pass?

How much was it for a 1 hour lesson?

Any tips for doing the turns, parking etc?

I've a good tip

try the motors forum :D

re lessons

took me 8 ( inc test day ) but I been riding a motorbike for 4 years so it was just the controls I needed to learn

I took about 20 lessons to pass, but that was an hour per week, with no practice time in between at all. Everybody learns at the their own pace.

Make sure you do everything by the book because that's how you'll be examined at on your test. It's afterwards as you build up the no. of hours you drive that you can run your car in your own style.

They'll probably be able to help more in the sports forum as far as suggesting diets and the like. You could try exercising, but that won't make you more lean necessarily.

I had 20 lessons, 2 hours lessons  . 6 hours a week for 2 months, the instructor said i was ready after a month but i had to wait 5 weeks for the test as the waiting list was that long. Passed first time.

As for tips, i would say find out what times you drive best, for me it was around midday as i felt more switched on at those times compared to the mornings! i would also say do loads of lessons per week as its fresh in your head and you wont forget things as easy. Also stay safe :p

Have fun!

I'll let you know when I've passed :D
I've had 2 lessons so far, with another 1 a day for the next week and then slowing down to 1 or 2 a week in the autumn.

I'm paying £10 an hour for the first 10 hours, then £15 an hour after that. (Introductory offers rock :))

dont get disheartened if you have an awful lesson - the one before my 2nd test was awful but i still passed, even though i had to do the reverse around the corner twice :o

Attempt to avoid the other cars. ;)

Other than that try and get on your parents insurance as well, and at weekends you do all the driving for them. Irate Sunday shoppers make great practice.
