Tips for study

Yeah studying from home is a PITA. I am doing a masters in Computing and Systems practice and i hve the same problem. What I starte doing was spending my lunch break at work starting stuff and then finishing it at home. I used the logic if I left it till the next day I might forget what my train of thought was. Also I have the added bonus of a lot of the stuff I have to do is work related anyway so there is a certain ammount of study getting done 'on the job'

Yeh this is what I do use my hour lunch to do some writing studying and then see if I can do anymore when I get home. It feels your getting paid to study then:)

Lunchtimes at work a few days a week and on the trains to and from work most days I'm reading course material.

Struggled to make myself sit down and get on with stuff at first too, set two nights a week I force myself to spend a couple of hours studying. You get used to it quickly. Yea, and study away from distractions works.

I found working on the kitchen table (where there is no PC) best for me. When I study at my desk I just end up surfing, tidying up files or whatever else but actually study.

I do this too.

I've done the compTIA course with my college but most of my studying was done in the house and motivation was a wee bit of a problem for me at the time. But like boxman has said, you have to remove yourself from the distractions i.e. computer, pub or whatever. Turn your phone off, move your books into the kitchen and study ! and get yourself some ear defenders :p

No one can make you do it but yourself.
