So, looking at PC's for a friend and OCuk seemed to have the best pricing.

Configured this so far:

    • CPU:Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz (Kaby Lake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - OEM
    • Graphics card:EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Black Edition 8192MB GDDR5 *£25 CASHBACK* PCI-Express Graphi

Total: £1,158.05
(includes shipping: £14.10)

I think the motherboard has 4 RAM slots, so could upgrade to more than 8GB in future. The EVGA cards seem good (post fix) and the £25 rebate is nice. The no OS is fine as well.

He has a budget of under £1200 and this is the only place I could find an i5 7600k + 1070 for that price.

Does anyone have some suggestions, is anything unnecessary?

Cheers

Just had a look and the option for 3000mhz ram doesnt cost anything extra, will 128gb m2 be enough ?
Thanks for the spotting the better, I missed it. My friend is planning to re-use his current 240gb ssd so storage should be no issue. A slight concern I have is the CPU cooler. As it's an overclocked i5 7600k you need good cooling, will the Alpenfohn Brocken 2 120mm Tower CPU Cooler cut it? I haven't heard of that brand or model before. The EVO 212 would be a good comparison I guess.
