I'm interested in some game benchmark comparisons for 1440p. I've got the 980s lined up, anyone with a Titan X able to provide some scores? All cards at stock for level playing field purposes.

I've seen a few folk recently debate over whether to go 980 SLI or single Titan X as the price is roughly the same, so this thread could be useful?

Shadow of Mordor.
Alien: Isolation
Dragon Age: Inquisition

Three for starters. Feel free to suggest more.

980s will be Gigabyte G1 Gaming at stock settings.

If interested, just post your screenshot with the benchmark score.

Now that I've read it, and I'm only interested in 1440p as I won't be changing my swift any time soon. Of the games I play... BF4, DA:I, SOM, Crysis 3... It's pretty much 30fps to the good with 980 SLI.

I expect that advantage to stay with the 980s for a while yet. A single card solution is obviously preferable but I don't think I could be dropping 30 frames for it.

I come from 980SLI (MSi gaming with custom karken gx10+H55 on both, stable 1550/1950 cclk) to Titan X,(ref cooling right now,1400/1800)playing on Asus ROG Swift 1440p,dont worry about benchmarks, the 980SLI show 20-30% faster,(sometimes more)but the experience with the Titan X is a buttersmoooth gameplay, its not visible in any benchmarks. All the way Titan X.

I'm seeing this type of comment a lot, which had probably went a long way to prompt this thread... But honestly, my experience with 980 SLI is what I'd call buttery smooth so that Titan must really be something else!

What's the biggest frame buffer you've seen the Titan utilise? Obviously I've seen my 4gb maxed out.

I just get the card today.Played with the new COD, BF4,FC4,and GW2.In BF4 not a big change,in FC4 a lot, no any microstutter anymore.MSI Afterburner show me about 5,6GB vram usage all maxed out with 2xmsaa,so im sure i had a vram limit with the 980sli ,GW2 is better, lower framerates, but no more texture flickering, and i played with the new COD too a couple minits, 8! GB vram usage on 1440p... i think the Titan X more future proof, because of vram, and you can sli it when the price go down. And in my experince 100fps on multiGPU never as same on single gpu, because the frametime is doubled.I had the same feeling when i come from 670SLI to 780Ti...

Mate, just because your card used that amount of buffer it doesn't mean it had to. That's not how it works. Still, it's interesting to see it used 8GB.

This is why it's such a coin toss! I'm not interested in keeping a card for any longer than a year so I suppose it's raw performance for me.

I'll tell you what though, where the hell do Nvidia pitch this 980ti? It's got to be sufficiently better to warrant overlooking the 980 and sufficiently worse to not threaten the Titan X. Good luck with that!

Don't look at the minimums to much, they are between 58-65 randomly when rerunning the bench.
