To OCUK HD Radeon 6870 users??

Was this a new build?or did you have different graphics drivers installed before.

ok thxs guys I'll take note of that, No I'm currently building a new pc and have just got the card. I have seen a lot people on here using the card with driver not responding problems. I haven't used mine yet so im not sure if it is working fine. Oh and forgot to add that it is this card specifically i am referring to:

Have you guys got the same?

cheers

Everything you need to know is in the thread roddypoddy posted.

Basically, I think the card isn't getting enough voltage to run at the 900mhz it should. It seems you have three choices:

1. Decrease the clock speed.
2. Increase voltage.
3. Buy a different card.

I chose number three after the man on the end of the phone at Overclockers said that they were receiving a lot of these cards back because most of them were not even posting, let alone being in a position for the drivers to crash. Mine DID post, but the drivers crashed. I couldn't be arsed fiddling with core speeds and voltage.

VTX 6870's in x-fire, all fine here.

Just installed the display driver only, put the bridge on and that's it.

I never see anyone with as many posts as you and with their system spec in their signature having any problems with hardware. I think I've cracked this...:p

So there we are GTO656, the solution. Either post far more often or pop your specs in your signature and you'll be fine. Both is ideal. ;)

Doesn't seem you can increase the voltage on these cards, I downloaded a couple of overclocking apps to see if I could fix the problem on my 6870 by under-clocking it etc and in all of them the voltage control is locked.

And the reason why I dont buy items that are branded by the shop, I always get well known brands and paying the extra is always worth it!
Ive got a Gigabyte 6870 1gb Overclock edition got it for £114 new boxed and just overclocked it further :-D and thats without increasing the voltage.
