To Sin Chase, what made you go for the Blueflame?

Just noticed you had gone in for the group buy on the Blueflame system for the S2000, what made you go for this one over the Invidia Q300 thats just poped up for £515?

I can't make my mind up between the two :P

Uhm, you could have PMed me on S2KI! :p

I considered it, but after checking YouTube I reckon it's going to be prohibitively loud for track day. It also comes in above the value threshold for 3% GST when I import it into the island. CTL performance have also failed to respond to a PM I sent days ago.

Someone had a dB meter up against it and it was exceeding 105dB rather easily. It looks the business but I'm not sure on the loudness/tone.

At the end of the day I get the BF one for £415 delivered, it retains near OEM oval tips (Which I actually like) and it should provide a distinct tone that's not going to rasp.

Edit - You've got me looking back over the Q300 now, bastid!

Haha sorry :P

Im at quite a loss as to what to do, If i want in on the group buy for the blueflame I really have to make my decision by the end of the day, I was originally going to go for an Invidia or Greddy Ti-C, however as im getting on a bit in I fear my ears wouldnt be able to stand it after a few months! The Q300 seems like a great deal, guy offered it to me for £485 which isnt a whole lot more than the blueflame would be (£450).

The search isnt working on S2Ki either so i cant look for any feedback on the Q300, by all Ive read its similar in noise levels to the blueflame, but if its slightly louder than thats by no means a bad thing imo, especially since im too much of a baby to do trackdays :P

Interesting choice.

I'd been looking at exhausts for my s2k for a while, with a view that when it retires to being a dedicated track car I would not want any noise test issues.

Based on that when I eventually get a new exhaust it will be either the greddy spectrum elite or a mugen. Great tone and suitable volume levels.

I'm really interested to know how blueflame buyers get on. Have there been any dyno tsts yet ?

No idea what the drone is like, but when following a mate in his s2k with one I couldn't hear my engine even with my airbox lid off at 9000 rpm when he floored it. Seriously loud exhaust

Drone is epicly bad on the v3.

I'm sticking with the BF unit. Wont get me thrown off track days, has confirmed low levels of drone.

Do not know how loud the drone would be in a Q300 (V4) but I wont be risking it.

Q300 is no where near the loudness of the V3 and other Invidias, its actually very quiet! I don't really want extreme loudness, however I don't want a system thats as quiet as stock, It has to have a meaty rumble too it without being on the extreme end of things, Im thinking the blueflame is actually too quiet for me at the moment.

Hence my problem of choosing before the weekend is up, Im kinda leaning more towards the Q300 with burnt tips though!

The BF system is not as quiet as stock though, I had this concern and if the Db readings are anything to go off then it should be louder.

Stop rocking the boat and making me question my decision :D Need to see some WOT videos from the BF this weekend. If the Blueflame is anything like the system put on the Civics then it should be good. Yet to be seen till there's some WOT footage though.
