I got myself a 1991 polo g40 several weeks ago now. I am having trouble deciding what to do with it. The car as it stands is fairly standard looking from the outside which i want to keep (sleeper). But i am thinking about removing the rear seats etc and fitting a couple of bucket seats and a cage in the future. The interior is in good condition and if i come to sell the cage is going to make it a bit harder im sure. But i want to eventually use the car on a track and dragstrip for fun.

What do you guys think i should do?

Here is a piccy of my car so you know what im talking about:

i would head straight over to the pitstop forums or something like that.

get a cage in there. keep the original interior tidy and dry. get some bucket seats.

get it on a track.

adding a cage will not do any favours on the 1/4 drag strip, but will help on a track.

p.s. looks like a clean example.

Yeah to be honest i think i would be more of a track man, although the car isnt best suited to that.
