To those still playing Warhammer Dawn of War (DC and SS)...

Played it ages ago but it's now been improved. Completely changes the game to about 10x more realistic Warhammer epicness. Read the changelog and see for yourself.

EDIT - Really awesome, things die fast... infantry get cut down by gunfire and vehicles shredded by heavy guns. Plus the vehicles are MUCH more fluff-based now. Really good fun.

Superb.. been feeling let down by DoW2 Retribution, and have been left hankering for another bash on the original DoW series, never even knew it had been modded up as I just played the game in my own little bubble. Looks like a fun thing to try out.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that as long as you are not a complete graphics whore, you will rediscover this game through the mods.

Seriously, OMG.

I just discovered and installed the Soulstorm Ultimate Apocalypse Mod and it is absolutely bloody insane. http://www.moddb.com/mods/ultimate-apocalypse-mod :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Tyranids. Titans. Every race... like, just... wow... and it brought my system to its knees. The zoom has also been outrageously tweaked and you can basically zoom out across entire maps.

I can see this sucking up some serious time now as I rekindle my love of all things Dawn of War.

You simply have to play it, it's the most epic mod I have ever seen. Staggering. :D

Probably true, but it's been a number of years since I last tried a Soulstorm mod and even with whichever mod it was I tried it was still an unstable mess.
